The polish was lumpy and left bubbles and separations on my nail bed. I feared that I would need the service again in one week instead of three weeks because the application was not applied on an appropriately prepared surface. The female did not remove all of the gel previously applied to my nails. The female was very rude and constantly verbally communicated with the owner the majority of the time I was in her chair. He asked all of the right questions to be sure that he was designing my nails to please me.
I got the feeling that appointments were preferred. I guess the only way to be sure that you get a good person will be to learn their names and make an appointment. However, I have paid less and receive far better.
This place is really nice and close to my house. However, my nails were not shaped, the French white is a different width on each nail and I have so many places that snag. I paid and complimented the final application. This was an awful time consuming experience. The lady finally agreed to remove the application and start over.
Finally I had to be firm to avoid paying more than I normally pay for service that wasn't going to last. I kept trying to point out the flaws including I mentioned three times that the lady was applying the French White Polish too wide and the lady continued as if she could fix the mistake along the way. But I have seen ladies walk in with appts and still have to wait? The services are OK, they will be quick to charge you things without telling you up front, as in soaking off nails or old nail polish. I honestly don't think appts are any better, may try that next time to see how that works out. This last time I went, I did the wait because I had absolutely nothing to do and my fiance was paying for my nails to be done for my birthday and it would have taken more time to find another place to go so I just waited - while I waited, SEVERAL customers walked out saying they would make appts or they would be back. I have left twice due to the wait being outrageous and not being tended to, they have sat me in pedicure water for more than 30 minutes, when finally I had to remove myself, put my shoes back on and leave.
I guess because of it being so close to the gluckstadt area and it is a nice clean place they know business will not slack. I have even gone on different days and still super busy. I have gone here several times and its the same each time. What they do is they will tell you someone will be with you shortly, making you feel like you are going to be tended to, then they will place you somewhere and then you wait there for another 30 minutes. They are not very attentive and don't mind making you wait.
